Your Rights Under Ohio's Workers' Compensation Law

Ohio's workers' compensation law provides employees with certain rights in the event of a work-related injury or illness. Employees have the right to receive medical treatment and wage replacement benefits, as well as other benefits, if they are unable to work due to their injury or illness. The law also provides employees with the right to file a claim for workers' compensation benefits if they believe their employer has failed to provide them with the proper coverage.

in Workers Compensation Attorney Fees

A workers compensation attorney is typically paid a contingency fee, which means that they only get paid if they win your case. The amount of the contingency fee varies, but is usually a percentage of the total amount of money you are awarded. (Do we want to spell this out, I.E. the attorney traditionally will receive 1/3 of any past due benefits that they help you to obtain? Don’t know your thoughts on this).

The amount of the contingency fee varies, but is usually a percentage of the total amount of money you are awarded. If you're not sure what the amount is, or will be, you should have this discussion with your attorney early on in the process. Also, ask whether the case warrants attorney involvement. Many times, we will turn cases away simply because they are winnable but slam-dunk cases and having an attorney will not improve the odds of winning or the amount won in the case. In those cases, we will simply guide you onto your next steps and if you run into issues, you can certainly call us for some advice.

If your case does warrant attorney involvement, the attorney traditionally will receive 1/3 of any past due benefits that they help you to obtain.

HERE IS WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
ABOUT THE REAL CASPERS

I had contracted one of the national firms. I fired them and went with Steven at Casper, Casper & Casper. He was able to win my case. The professionalism at the firm was superb. I would highly recommend.

Jim Smith — dayton, OH

Steve Casper and his staff were always very helpful in getting everything ready for my case. They are very knowledgeable and put my mind at ease helping me understand each step of the proces of me getting my disability. I would highly recommend Steve Casper and his staff to anyone seeking social security disabilities.

Yvonne Charles - Dayton Ohio

...I had initially been denied by SSDI and my case went to hearing. Steve guided me along each step of the way and prepared me by helping me understand what to expect during the hearing process. My case was complicated and he sifted through a huge file, reached out to doctors and created a portfolio documenting why I deserve the benefits and how my conditions tie back to specific SSDI listed conditions.

This law firm is great. They stayed with me through my sddi hearings for 4 years. Turned down in 2016 they helped me file another case and after second hearing won benefits I want to thank Lisa and Lynn and all that helped. They will be in your corner until you win.
